My name is Mingjie Cao (曹明杰), and I am currently a doctoral student at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management.

I hold an M.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto at St. George and have also been part of the M.Sc. Finance program at HEC Montréal. Additionally, I earned my Honours Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Montréal.

As I pursue my Ph.D., my goal is to make significant contributions to academia as a leading scholar in my field. I am resilient under stress and a risk-taker, always eager for intellectually challenging and stimulating opportunities where I can learn and grow.

As a hobby, I enjoy following and writing about geopolitics from the perspective of Realpolitik, with a particular focus on the US-China great power competition. I am also keenly interested in the internal dynamics of the US and the external dynamics of the big three: the US, China, and Russia.
